Siyakhula Trust has had the privilege of assisting many communities throughout South Africa. Projects have addressed diverse needs and focus areas.


Some of our highlights have been:
• Conducting due diligence activities on 38 major funded projects on behalf of Standard Bank
• Audit and monitoring and evaluation activities on behalf of corporate CSI and SED departments
• The training of female councillors on behalf of the Gauteng Department of Local Government, in community facilitation skills
• The development of community facilitation and project management skills for social professionals and other government officials in provincial and municipal departments throughout South Africa
• Developing project management skills amongst social workers throughout South Africa on behalf of the Department of Social Development
• Involvement in the National Youth Service Project as technical advisors
• Orientation of provincial and municipal officials regarding National Youth Service in Limpopo, North West and Free State
• The development of an internal mentoring and internship programme for the Umsobomvu Youth Fund
• O&D and training support to youth projects funded by Umsobomvu
• O&D assistance to the National Cooperative Association of South Africa on behalf of Umsobomvu Youth Fund
• O&D assistance, coaching and mentoring to the NW CBO Network
• O&D and training support to Community Development Centres on behalf of the Gauteng Department of Social Development
• Capacitation of the Lime Hill Development Centre in Ladysmith on behalf of the KZN – Natal Midlands Department of Social Development
• O&D and training support to the Bophirima District in North West on behalf of the National Development Agency
• O&D and training support to Home Based Care and Early Childhood Development organizations sponsored by Anglo Platinum Pty Ltd
• The training of 74 Bommadikosana in leadership skills on behalf of the Royal Bafikeng
• Assistance to national development agencies with regards to Employment Equity and Skills Development compliance issues
• The presentation of the prestigious USSALEP leadership programme
• Developing School Governance Capacity in several provinces
• Developing SGB and LRC handbooks for schools in North West Province and developing NW officials to develop SGBs in the N.W Province
• Conducting youth camps an life skills training behalf of the Mpumalanga Government
• Conducting life skills training for the youth of Secunda and the design of a Crime Prevention and youth leader capacitation programme on behalf of Sasol. This programme has been designed to impact on ± 2000 youth in schools and community centres in 2007
• Training and OD support of CBOs and NGOs from all sectors of civil society
• Developing Village Development Committees and Farmers Associations in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West
• The managing of an RDP project for Farmers in the North West
• The preparation of civic leaders for participation in the new democratic local government structures
• Training dairy farmers on behalf of the UN / FAO in Swaziland
• Rendering training and train the trainer support for Swaziland Housing officials on behalf of the World Bank
• The training of Amakhosi in Swaziland
• Developing water committees on behalf of the UN and FINNIDA in Namibia
